As part of the Grand Diplomatic North-South Conferences initiated by ACECI, the third edition will mark the launching of a North-South campaign in favor of a poverty reduction law in the countries of the South.

In the XXIst century context, a poverty reduction law is needed to:

Reaffirm the elementary principle of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Accelerate the implementation of the MDGs

Create a legal framework, ensuring appropriation and harmonisation in the spirit of the Paris declaration

Compel the national and international decision makers to take into account the human factor in their development funding policies.

Declare unlawful all socio-economic factors generating poverty throughout the world.

Encourage innovating development initiatives

Strengthen leadership of the countries of the South
