Through this event, ACECI wishes to draw the attention to:
- the 3rd UN Millennium Development Goal: overall equality between men and women
- the presence in the Quebec City Hall of the first gender balanced municipal council
- the value of the cultural diversity of the Quebec population
- the City's concern for the integration and the quality of life of all

This festive and informative evening will offer all participants the occasion to get to know each other, to recognize the creativity of Quebec women of different origins and to familiarize with certain realities lived by women from elsewhere.
Participants are invited to wear an outfit considered caracteristic for their origin. A jury will select a winner, who will receive a prize.
PROGRAM OF THE EVENT
- Official welcome of the partners (ACECI, Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles du Québec –MICCQ, Quebec City Hall)
- Cocktail buffet with the world's flavors
- Conference related to ACECI's goals(« Millennium Development Goals and Human Rights ». – expected special guest: Ms Louise Arbour (or Ms Céline Galipeau)
- A round table on the question : In view of the distressing state of the world, what role can women play ?
- Remittance of a price to the participant with the most remarked outfit
