TRANSLATING THE MDGs INTO A MODEL LAW ON POVERTY REDUCTION
AND THE FIGHT AGAINST MALARIA

 

Promotion in Spain of the MDG/PRL campaign and the mosquito repellent project for the fight against malaria in Africa
from 21 to 28 November 2010

Afric'Forum – a non-governmental organization based in Bilbao, Spain – invited ACECI to present the issues of the MDG campaign / PRL and the project to produce mosquito repellents in Africa, based on local and renewable resources.

GAIA is an association of Small and Medium enterprises. Already operating in India in the field of anti-malaria using bed sheets impregnated with microcapsules containing mosquito repellent, GAIA - Asociación de Industrias de las Tecnologías Electrónicas y la Información del País Vasco - is interested in partnering with ACECI.

The photograph below was taken in the Basque Parliament where Ms. Karirekinyana described the advocacy campaign on MDGs / PRL before the Committee on Human Rights (November 24):

Besides a live radio interview, ACECI was invited to give a conference in Bilbao, November 25 2010, to present the anti-malaria program in the context of the Millennium Development Goals

Prof. Gregory Patience gave a radio interview on the Radio Popular de Bilbao (in Spanish).
