Context
The human factor being the most obvious ethical criterion
in North-South relations, ACECI has chosen as its core business
the fight against poverty. For this purpose, the Alpha team
has been launched in follow-up to the second edition of the
grand diplomatic conferences, focusing on the Paris declaration
and the management of North-South cooperation.
Mission and objectives
- Translate ACECI's general mission into projects and programs.
- Promote the ethical development aid vision
- Ensure an operational follow-up to the first edition of
the GDNSC
- Conceive an action plan building on the report and the summary
documents of the first edition of the GDNSC, and in accordance
with ACECI's axes of intervention.
- Identify partners interested in cooperation ethics.
Core Project
Cooperation with national, regional and international actors
for the translation of the millenium development goals into
a poverty reduction law.
Short term projects:
- Prepare the third GDNSC edition .
- Participe in the post-Accra process on the Paris declaration
- Prepare the first volume of the cooperation ethics guidebook

International Labour Office (ILO)/ACOPAM/STEP, UNFPA
and the World Bank.
Presently, international Consultant in several countries
and trainer at ILO's International Training Center in
Turin (Gender unit).

Boubacar Boris DIOP
Boubacar Boris Diop is a prolific Senegalese writer whose literary output includes, among other texts, Le Temps de Tamango, Les Tabours de la mémoire (awarded with the Grand Prix des Lettres du Sénégal) and Le Cavalier et son Ombre (awarded with the Prix Tropiques. Murambi, le livre des ossements features in the top 100 best African books of the 20th century, a list established by the Zimbabwe International Book Fair. Former chief editor of the independent Senegalese daily Le Matin, Boubacar Boris Diop is also a freelance contributor who is regularly writing for prominent international newspapers. Diop has degrees in literature, journalism and philosophy from Université Cheick Anta Diop of Dakar (UCAD). (see full resume and publications)
