The professor could not make it to Quebec, and his contribution was read by Prof. Dany Rondeau.

Sylvie PERRAS, Canadian Council for International Co-operation, Coordinator of the Africa-Canada Forum, described how Canadian civil society has been involved in the Paris declaration process, together with their partners in the South. She also made a critical analysis of North-South relations within civil society, and formulated several recommendations.

In her closing remarks, the Ambassador has congratulated ACECI with the conference initiative, and has invited the agency, as a sign of reciprocity, to organise the third edition of its Grand diplomatic North-South conferences in Niger in 2009.
